Krantz Family

Hello and welcome from the Krantz family! We have told you about our mission and goals at Open 8 Genetics, now we would like to introduce the people behind those goals. Danny and Dani Mae Krantz have been running the cow herd since the creation of Open 8 Genetics in 2011, while located in Charlo, MT. They have had the unique opportunity to manage the cow herd in several locations and environments. In 2017, the Krantz family moved to Powderville with the Open 8 Operation. They took another leap of faith in 2024 and moved the Open 8 Genetics location to Baker, where they took ownership of the Open 8 Angus cow herd and operate in partnership with 316 Simmental. Danny and Dani Mae have four children; Abi, Aspen, Kanin, and Dylan. The Krantz family hosted their 10th Annual Open 8 Genetics Bull Sale on April 11th, 2025 and look forward to providing quality genetics to producers for years to come.
